Deep-rooted desire to understand the different levels of human cognitive level had resulted in
Bloom’s Taxonomy. The purpose of Bloom’s Taxonomy is to strategize the curriculum,
instructional method, and assessment method in the educational sector. The original version of
bloom’s taxonomy was published in 1956. Cognitive psychologist of Chicago university had
made an effort to give life to bloom’s taxonomy. The taxonomy was named after Benjamin
Bloom who was the chairman of the committee. The relevance of Bloom’s Taxonomy has given
us the logical framework for teaching and learning. It helps us to understand the ways in which
individuals build up their abilities and skills. The old version had undergone a sparkle effect and
got a new look with revised changes. The old schemes in the taxonomy were Knowledge,
Comprehension, Application, Analysis, Synthesis, and Evaluation. The revised edition had
replaced the nouns with action verbs and renamed one among the six. Remembering,
Understanding, Applying, Analyzing, Evaluating, and Creating Is the new order of taxonomy.
The initial position of Synthesis is replaced by Creating.
The revised model was formed under the efforts of a team of efficient scholars, which include
Lorin Anderson and David Krathwohl. Lorin was Bloom’s student whereas David was Bloom’s
colleague. Both had worked with Bloom in the original version.
The revised version of Bloom’s taxonomy contains remember, understand, apply, analyze,
evaluate, create as the steps of research. Well, our searches revolve around the fourth level of the
taxonomy. Analyze is the strategy in which individuals use their perspective, judgments to
analyze the knowledge they have gathered. In this stage of learning, individuals will be able to
break down the whole learning into subcomponents. There will be a linking system developed in
their mind between different concepts. They can understand the structure of knowledge. They
can have an idea about the organizing principle. They will be ready to distinguish between facts
and opinions.
Some keywords can make sure that there is a positive outcome from the strata of Analyze. They
are compared, contrast, differentiate, attribute, relate, organize. Answers given to the question
related to these words will always stand as a determiner to understand the progress.
Researchers have found that it is an effective method for understanding the intellectual stair on
which individuals are also promotes and encourages individuals to form relevant life
skills that are required for a successful life within efficient classroom settings
