But it’s been revised by Lorin Anderson and David Krathwohl producing the revised Bloom Taxonomy also called as Bloom Digital Taxonomy. it’s quite helpful for teachers because it helps to grasp the creation of assessment, complexity of assignment, simplify an activity for self learning , organize conference and lots of more. The new taxonomy has been revised and replaced with noun like remember, understand, apply, analyze, evaluate and build.
In this the second domain forming a vital base is “Understanding”. It simply implies, to convey a concept at what to be told. For example:- If we learned about any fruit or object, we learn first the fundamental spelling, shape, color , appearance and taste sometimes. But, while implying things it becomes equally important to grasp on what gives it all such properties. it’s very helpful to teachers because it gives them the simplest way to precise things during a far better way.
If we predict of a fruit like a “Mango”, then consistent with bloom taxonomy, remembering the spelling, shape, color is basic. But, knowing it gets its color because of presence of beta carotene, and sweetness because of presence of fructose a carbohydrate, is what’s called as understanding.
